Treatment
Various and unusual remedies have been used and proposed with varying degrees of success. However, massive doses of vitamin A, up to 100,000 units daily with Vitamin E, have been effective and use of Vitamins C with B-2 and pantothenic acid obtains good results. The general health and resistance of the host are most important, and the diet should be essentially the same high quality as is needed in all infections.
