Explanation
This is the formation of yellowish-white, smooth, circumscribed, leathery spots or patches of hyper keratinized mucosal cells in the mouth or on the tongue. These are often precancerous and frequently associated with nutritional deficiencies or syphilis.
Considerations
There appears to be a predisposition for males and may be gonadal deficiencies. By the time pain is noted, the lesions are usually far advanced.
Treatment
The removal of local irritating factors is essential and the best oral hygiene possible must be established. Nutritional deficiencies must be corrected.
BCT Oil
Anti-bacterial, promotes healing. Apply topically as needed.
Vitamin B Complex
Important Vitamin B-complex factors containing essential folic acid necessary for oral health. Take 2 daily.
Vita-C+500
Large amounts of Vitamin C are critical as lack of Vitamin C allows gums to become tender, puffy and bleed easily. Vitamin C restores tissue resistance to epithelial tissue. Take 8-12 daily (1-2, every few hrs.).
