Explanation
This refers to a sudden breaking of a bone by direct or indirect trauma. Spontaneous fractures occur in certain disease conditions where demineralization of the skeletal tissues has taken place over a period of time, as in osteomalacia, osteomyelitis, tuberculosis, cysts, and neoplasms. Rickets in children is often a predisposing factor in causing fractures.
Considerations
Fragmentation and disintegration of the bone structure produces local and sometimes widespread inflammation, interferes with blood and nerve supply, and produces edema and lymphatic stasis. In the aged, a hormonal imbalance and deficiency reduces calcium metabolism and demineralization, allowing for fractures to occur with very slight trauma or spontaneously without trauma.
Treatment
The healing process cannot take place without adequate and correct nutritional intake in the daily diet.
Cal/Mg+Boron
The finest source of calcium known. Contains factors to properly stimulate calcium uptake and assimilation. Take one, three times daily.
Mineral Complex
Aids utilization of calcium and contains a high level of trace minerals. Take one with meals.
Supporting Products
Digest
Promotes digestion and tends to normalize gastric enzymes and hydrochloric acid for protein metabolism. Take one with each meal.
Flora-Norm
Normalizes intestinal flora, promotes the synthesis of vitamins in the intestinal tract and promotes intestinal absorption of calcium. Take two am/pm.
